The Cooperative Research Centre for Sugar Industry Innovation through Biotechnology (CRC SIIB) was a unique alliance of Australia's top sugarcane biotechnology expertise. The goal of the CRC SIIB was to add new value to Australian sugarcane. On 30 June 2010, the CRC SIIB wound up its research and development activities.

The commercial activities of the CRC SIIB will continue under the banner of Sacron Innovations Pty Ltd. The Sacron Innovations web site is currently under construction.

After seven years of successful sugarcane biotechnology research, CRC SIIB research and development activities have come to a close as of 30 June 2010. The CRC SIIB CEO and office staff will continue wind up activities at the St Lucia office through till 30 September 2010.

Over the coming months this web site will be updated to include information on CRC SIIB work that will remain live on the web through to June 2014.
