Postgraduate Research Scholarships

The CRC SIIB will have 34 PhD, MPhil and Honours degree students working on industry relevant projects during its life. The CRC is looking for students with a background in plant biotechnology, environmental or chemical engineering or related fields.

Postgraduate Scholarships are available to students eligible to enrol in a research higher degree at one of the four participating Universities (JCU, QUT, SCU, UQ) and willing to undertake research within one of the CRCs key project areas. Our postgraduate students receive many benefits including:

  • The opportunity to participate in cutting edge and industry relevant research.
  • Access to an existing network of scientists.
  • The opportunity for overseas travel (with financial support).
  • The opportunity to participate in Professional Development programs.
  • Financial support for 3 years (~$25,000 per annum), with an additional 6 months support if required (PhD students).
  • Additional operating funds.

Any student who is interested in a CRC Honours project should contact the nominated supervisor to discuss the project details. A small bursary may be available for interested students.
